Lens Impression
1939年にオランダのデルフト市に創立されたDe Oude Delft(The Old Delft)社は、写真カメラ用レンズというよりはむしろ、Ｘ線撮影、電子機器用などのレンズの生産が主力であった企業のようですが、なぜか1950-60年代に集中的にアルパ、コンタックス、エクサクタマウント、ライカLマウント、M42マウントなどの多様な小型カメラ用のレンズを供給していました。
ただ、あまり明るいレンズは製造しておらず、現在知られている最も明るいレンズは、おそらく試作品と思われるデルフォター(Delfotar)5cmf1.8だと思われます。
一般に市販されたレンズでは、ライカマウント、アルパマウントなどで製造されたアルフィノン(Alfinon)5cmf2.8が挙げられます。このレンズの構成はおそらくアルフィノンと同様だと想定しています。もちろん明るいレンズには有名なレイクサー(Rayxar)50ｍｍｆ0.75などもありますが、これらは写真カメラレンズと分類するのは困難です。
デルフィノンはドイツ製一眼レフのプラクティフレックス（Praktiflex)用の交換レンズとして40mmのスクリュートマウントで供給されました。しかし、ほとんど市場で見かける機会はありません。非常に限られた数しか流通されなかったようにも思えますが。レンズのつくりはとても堅牢かつすっきりしており、完成度は極めて高レベルです。

描写は、経年変化のせいで逆光ではフレアが見られますが、ピント部分は非常にシャープですし、ボケは最周辺部で多少の流れが見られる程度のようです。
De Oude Delft(The Old Delft) company was established on 1939 in the city
of Delft, Netherland, which might have produced Optical equipment for X-Ray
Photograph, or Electronics mainly, They at the same time in 1950-60s
produced photographic lenses for small cameras for Alpa, Contax, Exakta,
Leica, M42 and others.
They did not make so fast speed lens. As far as I know, the fastest lens might be Delfotar 5cm f1.8 which should be a trial product.
The fastest lens circulated in market would be Alfinon 5cm f2.8 which have
Leica screw mount, Alpa mount and others.
I suppose the composition of this Delfinon lens may be the same as that
of alfinon.
Of course, there are much faster lenses as Rayxar 5cmf0.75 and others,
I do not recognize those are for photographic camera lenses.
Delfinon was produced as an interchangable normal lens for the German
Praktiflex in M40 screw mount.
I estimate this lens should have been sold in very limited numbers, however
the construction of this lens is very firm and neat which prove this lens
is final production model.
The description of this Delfinon shows very sharp at the focused part with
some flare in the against light condition because of its age. Also shows
small disorder of bokeh around the most peripheral areas.
